This 20" Thin Crash Ride weighs 1885g (№140).
100% hand-hammered—including a hand-formed bell (unless stated otherwise)—from Turkish B20 bronze, made in Zürich with traditional methods. Built with a focus on jazz, each cymbal is individually quality-checked by the cymbalsmith and a professional jazz drummer.
8 rivets installed. This is a study (in sound) of the 20” K. Istanbul OSIIIB, 8 rivets, 1881g, featured in the YouTube video of Jeff Ballard playing Old K’s from Matthias Kuert’s collection—the one put on the left stand around 04:45.
This study was done simply by listening to the video and trying to figure out what’s going on. I haven’t played or measured the cymbal in real life.
